In 1921, Penn State University produced its first champion athlete: John Romig, who competed in track and field. Just a year later, Central Pennsylvania saw its own champion open its doors: Handler, Henning & Rosenberg LLC. Over the last century, both HHR and Penn State have achieved enormous success in their respective fields. Penn State athletes have won countless championships in both team and individual sports as the university’s athletic program grew in excellence and comprehensiveness.
